Jessica Bright, a YDA National Committee member from North Charleston, and Central Midlands chairwoman Breanna Spaulding were both featured in a recent Boston Globe article highlighting the young Black women being tapped for several Presidential campaigns.
Bright is the deputy state director for Sen. Bernie Sanders' 2020 Presidential campaign, and has also worked on campaigns for Congressman Joe Cunningham, Hillary Clinton, and state Sen. Margie Bright Matthews--her mother.
Spaulding is the state director for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio's Presidential campaign. She has previously worked for Sean Carrigan's 2018 campaign for Congress (SC-2), and also consults for Adair Ford Burroughs' campaign for the same office.
The article also highlights former YDSC National Committeewoman Alycia Albergottie (state director for Sen. Elizabeth Warren), former South Carolina Democratic Party executive director Christale Spain (state director for Sen. Cory Booker and former political director for Sanders in 2016) and Tiffany James (state director for South Bend, IN Mayor Pete Buttigieg).
