From The Briefing:
Election Day is less than six days away! Secretary Clinton is running neck and neck with the Republican nominee in South Carolina, and could come out on top only with your help. We are asking all of our members and all South Carolina voters (and Democrats) to perform these actions:
1) MAKE A PLAN: Vote absentee in person, if you qualify. Qualifications include working on election day; on vacation outside your county on election day; being on post outside your county; in school outside your county of residence. Even if you plan to vote on Election Day itself, make a plan to vote.
Check your voter registration. Know where your polling place is. Know whether you are going there in the morning, at lunch, or after work or class. Most absentee precincts in South Carolina will be open Thursday, Friday, and Monday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. On Tuesday, your normal polling places will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM.
2) HELP THE STATE PARTY: Specifically, phone bank or canvass for state candidates through SCDP. Most county party offices are open every day until the election from 12-8 M-F, 10-6 on Saturday, and 2-6 on Sunday. Staging locations will go live on Monday; most County Party and campaign offices are staging locations.
3) HELP HILLARY, IN SC: Marcurius Byrd and Austin Jackson have Hillary phone lists from Educators for Hillary. Bree Maxwell has a virtual phone bank for Millennials for Hillary. If anyone wants to phone bank for the Clinton campaign, please email firstname.lastname@example.org so we can get you started.
4) The Coordinated Campaign also needs volunteers for Rides to the Polls on November 8. Please contact Ernest Boston at email@example.com for more details.
Thank you to everyone already working hard to elect Secretary Clinton, Senator Kaine, and our local Democrats to office in 2016. We'll see you at the polls!
