In June, the Young Democrats of America will host two Leadership Academies in Washington for high school and college/university students. In both Leadership Academies, Fellows will attend training and workshops from Democratic and Progressive presenters on campaign and volunteer management, politics, policy making, issue advocacy, and professional development. The goal is to prepare students to return home ready to work on Congressional and statewide campaigns anywhere in 2018.
The College Leadership Academy in particular will involve a full day of lobbying Congress on issues currently facing students on campuses across the nation. The High School Leadership Academy, open to current high school students aged 14-18 graduating between 2018 and 2021, will be from June 14 to June 17 in Washington, DC. Click this link to apply. The College Leadership Academy, open to current college and university students aged 18-24, expecting graduation between 2018 and 2021, will be from June 18 to June 21 in Washington, DC.
